I am a masters student in an experimental statistics course. For a paper we are writing a research proposal about a hypothetical observational study. I have chosen to look at an inventory called the Reasons for Living Inventory (RFL), developed by Marshal Linehan in 1983.
The RFL is a 48 statement inventory that lists reasons people have to NOT commit suicide. I feel that this inventory does not cater well to a South Asian population and wish to modify it. To do this, I am asking you to fill out a very quick survey. The instructions are simple, using a South Asian perspective, look over the inventory and mark any questions you feel are irrelevant or unimportant to South Asians. After that, state one reason you feel is an important reason for you to live.
