Hi! My daughter has been invited to a Muslim friend's ameen, which I understand to be a celebration held after finishing reading the Quran.
I was just wondering if anyone could give me some guidance on what kind of gift is appropriate for her to bring? The girls are both 13 and in the 7th grade. The celebration doesn't coincide with the girl's birthday, but she also didn't have a birthday party this year (probably in anticipation of this), so I could just let my daughter pick out a birthday gift that her friend will like. But if there's anything that's traditional or considered lucky for this occasion, or anything like that, I'd love to know about it.
