As salaamu 'alaykum,
I have compiled a list of less well known legitimate fatwas and understandings from reputable scholars and institutions from all over the Sunni spectrum on issues that I have found to be pertinent to our context as Muslims living in non Muslim lands. Topics range from Jumu'ah to interest to mawlid to body hair. This isn't necessarily a personal endorsement of all the the fatwas I have collected or an admission that I follow all of them, but this collection was made in an attempt to help those struggling with their faith and practice of it in the context their in. My intention also isn't to promote a unconditional acceptance and practice of every liberal opinion full stop as it is admirable and praiseworthy to follow the majority opinions as it protects one from doubt and promotes taqwa of Allah Almighty.
Another purpose of sharing these rulings is to emphasize that there is a wide spectrum of understanding Islamic law and there are many nuances that are not understood by laymen. Fiqh is a science where there is always room for various interpretations and very rarely is there a blanket ruling on any subject matter. This can help lay people such as ourselves make better decisions with more information presented to us.
I'm still going through the process of cleaning up the files, translating, and adding context and other important information in the details of the files. To access the details, click on the file, click on the three vertical dots at the top right of the screen, then select details.
Also, if there are any other pertinent topics you think affect us, let me know and I will try to gather information on those topics. Allah give us the tawfiq to do what pleases Him under the guidance of the righteous scholars.
