This is almost certainly a "no" but I want to see if there are any verses in the Quran or hadith that make it permissible.
My father is a very wicked man who abused me and my sisters in unspeakable ways and about a year ago we finally cut off contact with him. Sometimes I find myself asking Allah(swt) to cut his life short and throw him into the Fire on the Last Day.
I know he will never accept Islam, he is too narcissistic and sadistic for that, so what good is it to pray for his salvation and well-being? He truly deserves the Fire. I spoke with my imam on this and he said that in my emotionally vulnerable state I should neither pray for his salvation nor for his damnation, but I really feel my father deserves it.
What's a better way to spiritually deal with my anger toward my father, if what I am doing is wrong?
