I know the people there pretty much hate vehabis/selefis but how is the environment overall for a Sunni Muslim, that minds his business. I'm thinking about moving there in the future because I really like the weather there and the beauty of the country and personally think that hijra from a Western country to a Muslim dominant one might help me in my deen as a sort of mini-hijra (since no real caliphate exists). I know konya is the most conservative part of Turkey, so I would prefer that, even though I will disagree strongly with a lot of their hardcore Sufi ideology/traditions (playing flutes, dancing, building structures over graves where they ask for intercession and exaggerate about the dead, among other bidaa may Allah forgive and guide them). I'd be moving to enjoy the benefits in loving in a overall Muslim environment (being surrounded by my brothers and sisters in islam, and less fitna). is this a good idea? Let me know about your thoughts and/or suggestions. I'm from the USA and do not speak Turkish, which leads to my other question, are the people there nice?
