The authenticity of the arguments and sources for "Why are we here?"

I've briefly read the page and found somethings that do not "gel" with my understandings of Islam. Can someone here have a look?

I'll be printing this and having a discussion about it with a local scholar, but I've hoped to get a more global input here.
