So, to start off, its probably not fitting to post here but I'm very much confused and have little time to make a decision.

Basically, I'm a student in 12th, in India, doing Maharastra State Board and the subjects I'm doing are English, French, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I'm very confused atm as to what career path to go for in the future.

Initially my family had decided Medical for me but I don't want to do so for multiple reasons, now some of my family members are suggesting Biotechnology but not that either because it involves gene manipulation, cloning etc which is probably haram (even if it is vague, I would prefer to be on the safer side). However, if I want to take engineering, I would have to retake Maths (dropped it at the beginning of 2018) and then spend more time for it through an external entrance tests or what not. I only want to go into courses related to STEM (except M).

Thing is, and I know this may sound very idealistic but I want a career path which I enjoy, which pays me well, allows me to do other things in life and also allows me to fulfill all my responsibilities such as Salah, reading the Quran, fasting, gaining more religious knowledge etc. I don't want to be like workaholics, working, eating and sleeping all day long, which is a lifestyle becoming more rampant in the west. I need a lifestyle which pertains more to Islam. It's also a problem however since Indian education systems tends to be limiting.

Any advice would be appreciated, JazakAllah Khair. :)
