Does Hell truly last forever?

Hello,

I was under the impression that Hell lasts forever but a friend of mine sent me a video about the story of the the last man to leave Hell. I’ve also seen verses from the Qur’an saying that Hell lasts forever for nonbelievers so I’m a little confused.

My question is: is it truly forever or just a very long time?
