This sub has seen a flood of posts about the oppression of Muslims in China. It's clear that the people on here are upset, but it seems like nobody wants to take any action. I wrote a post about a petition asking The White House to denounce the human rights violations committed by the Chinese government. The post got 55 up-votes and the petition has been signed by only 68 people. This is something that takes a very small amount of time and it's said to see that out of the 63K subscribers to this sub only 68 people took the time to click a few button and sign the petition.
The Quran says:
Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. (13:11)
And the Hadeeth says:
Muslims Are Like One Body. When one part of a body is in bad health, the rest of the entire body joins it in restlessness and lack of sleep and is busy with its treatment. Likewise, Muslims should run to helping each other. (Bukhari)
I know it's easier to just make Du'ah but that alone is not enough. Taking the time to sign a petition, call a politician and spread awareness is also needed if we ever want to archive any form of change.
