Are we required to keep a relationship with our parents?

Salaam,

I am currently living with my family which includes my mother, father, and siblings. My father is a narcissist who has abused us emotionally, financially, mentally, and physically for years. He recently did something that has forced me to distance myself from him. The most our relationship has been lately is me telling him hello and good morning. He makes no effort to have conversation or even respond to me.

I know we are required to be respectful and dutiful towards our parents, and I have been that daughter to him for years. Even despite the abuse I did my best by him and stopped talking back to him. But am I required to have a friendly relationship with him or even to love him? Even with forgiveness I know he will simply repeat the cycle of abuse again.
