I don't know much about the Kurds except for they're mostly sunni muslims while some are shia, have their own language and like to distinguish themselves from the Arabs. I met some Kurdish people a few times and they were all lovely people, even helped one guy out in London once who was trrying to make his way to manchester. Anyway I dont get what makes them different from other regular muslims that they have been persecuted so much by other sunni muslims lately? Weren't some of the great Islamic figures like Salahaddin al-Ayubi a Kurd too?
