Blogging is quite popular these days. There are an estimated 152 million blogs on the Internet and well over 350 million if you count Tumblr. It’s not difficult to get into and it’s a fun way to get your creative juices flowing. There are a bunch of blogger apps out there. However, we think a few stand above the rest. Here are the best blogging apps for Android!

Adobe Lightroom CC

Adobe Lightroom is a favorite tool for bloggers. It lets you edit, format, and even watermark photos quickly and easily. It should work on most modern Android devices as well as Chromebooks. Thus, you get a good experience either way. Some other features include RAW file support, various filters, advanced editing tools, and more. You can get this as part of the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. You can use a little bit of the app for free, though.

Asana

Asana is a powerful organization tool. You can manage your various blogging projects with an app like this. It's a step above what you get with most to do list style apps. You can create tasks or subtasks and organize your workflow how you want. We also quite like the ability to make a task recur in case you need to update it in the future. Basecamp and Trello are similar tools that do a lot of the same stuff. The premium version is a bit expensive, but you don't need that until your blog starts getting pretty big.

Chartbeat

Price: Varies

Chartbeat is one of the more powerful blogging apps for blog owners. It shows you traffic in real time, where those people came from, and other historical data. You can sort data by author, traffic sources, or traffic referrers. Unfortunately, this tool is wicked expensive. We only recommend it to those who have larger blogs with some decent revenue. It's a simple app, but you can glean some outstanding information from it.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is another outstanding analytics tool for bloggers. Unlike Chartbeat, this one has a free version for those who don't have a bunch of revenue yet. You can monitor real-time data, ad revenue, traffic sources, and all kinds of other useful data. The app can also generate reports for some light reading. We recommend this as a first analytics tool for new bloggers. It'll teach you how all of this stuff works without charging you an arm and a leg for it.

Pixabay is a royalty-free photo, illustration, and vector graphics app. Sometimes it's hard to find good images for articles. This app can help. Every image is under the Creative Commons CC0, or free to use without attribution. The app has a search, various categories, and you can download images directly to your Android device. The app has the occasional bug, but it's one of the better blogging apps for people on a budget.

Weebly

Price: Free / $60+ per year

Weebly is a content creation platform similar to blogging apps like WordPress. You can create a website or online store, manage it, add content, and do all kinds of other stuff. It uses a drag-and-drop builder style for easy design. You also get themes, photo hosting, and site activity monitoring all in one spot. The app definitely has a few hiccups, but most apps with this much functionality do. You won't get most of the best features unless you pay, but the free version has some decent tools too.

WordPress is one of the most established blogging apps. You can build a blog from scratch with this and fill it with content. You can create and edit articles, upload photos, format your stuff, theme your website, and more. The free version is a bit bare-bones but it's enough to get you start. You can pay a yearly subscription for more storage and more features. The app has the occasional hiccup, but nothing too terrible.

Your domain hosting app

Price: Free / Varies

Anyone looking for blogging apps should try the domain hosting their website. You can usually get a lot of information there, including some site analytics and other stuff. It won't help you write anything, but it doesn't matter how much you post if your site goes down. Most domain sellers have an official app. We listed GoDaddy, but you can go with whatever one you want. Most of them have some great tools for website owners.
